Depending on where it has been mined and the quality of the minerals in the soil, the stone can be grey, black, brown and even pink. Because it is a natural stone, every piece that is mined is unique so no one else will have the same worktops as you. If you want to create a space with truly bespoke stone then natural stone is the best choice.

As we have mentioned, Granite is very strong and non-porous making it hygienic and great for use in a kitchen or bathroom. It is resistant to water and staining and it is difficult to scratch or damage with heat. It is an indigenous rock that is made of quartz, feldspar, micas, amphiboles, and a mixture of additional trace minerals which gives Granite a beautiful spectrum of colours and textures.
Granite will have to be regularly sealed to keep it looking it's finest, however, if it is properly maintained and cared for, Granite can last for years to come. Once sealed, this beautiful stone can be cleaned with soapy water and a damp cloth.
