At first appearance the wall was incredibly striking and something we had not seen before. It was difficult to discern at a distance what gave the wall this effect. Upon closer inspection the Forest Green marble had been cut to size in long strips and spaced 20mm apart to give a multidimensional effect that made such a large expanse seem almost seamless. Something that would not be achievable using tiles or slabs simply due to the vastness of the wall.
The potential for this application of stone is innumerable. If using a translucent quartzite the stone has the potential to be backlit. This would create a statement wall not out of place in any luxury establishment. The beauty of this technique is that it could be created using almost any material.
