Why were we approached?
Jack Morris Bespoke (formerly JMM Joinery) are an independent cabinetry and joinery company specialising in beautiful bespoke hand-built kitchens and custom cabinetry.
They approached us, having worked with us on several projects in the past to provide a kitchen island for a client they were currently working with. They were looking for material recommendations that suited the design requirements of their client.
What was the process?
With our clients agreement, we spoke directly with their customer to establish the end result that they were hoping to achieve. Following our discussions this we made several product suggestions that fit the brief.
As the client was not local to us, we arranged for several samples to be sent to their home for their consideration. Once these had been received, the client advised that they had chosen their material.
We provided the client with a competitive price and arranged for a templating visit once the quotation was accepted. A templating visit was conducted shortly after to produce a mock-up of the Island furniture that was now installed. When back in the factory, our team can then cut the worktops to match the template which ensures any cut outs required are also in the correct positions.
What did they choose?
The client chose Misterio 30mm Quartz for their worktop.
Our stonemason’s strong attention to detail was imperative to the end results of this project. He produced an arris edge profile around the worktops, a subtle yet effective finish which is illustrative of the key values we share with Jack Morris Bespoke to ensure that every care is taken allowing for a striking end result. Mitred ends were created within the waterfall end panels to allow the island to come to an end seamlessly in this kitchen.
All fabrication work was completed within a week following templating and fitted to a high standard, ensuring that this was all installed in time for Christmas. Jack Morris Bespoke had also arranged for us to produce chopping boards as a gift to his client, they were thrilled to have this thoughtful gift to match their new kitchen worktops.

"This is now the 3rd project I have used Marble 2 Marvel for bespoke work-tops. As well as myself, my clients have very high standards and only the best will do. The level of service I have received from the team at Marble 2 Marvel has been consistently high. From very precise templating right thought to final fitting and finishing all details are considered and worked out with the clients approval. The latest project in Bath was using Arabescato Marble and my clients had the chance to select the exact slabs they wanted from the warehouse before fabrication. This gave us a unique opportunity to really plan where and how we were going to match the natural veining in the marble between the work-top and splash back. I won’t use any other company - guaranteed quality every time."
