Oast House - Quartz Curved Kitchen Worktop

This returning client approached us to create a curved kitchen worktop for their East Sussex home.

Curved Quartz Kitchen Worktop

Project: Bespoke 30mm Tahiti CQ Quartz Curved Worktop

Special Features: Laser-cut Technology

Location: East Sussex

Project Duration: 2 weeks from quotation to fitting.

Client: Residential

Why were we approached?

This client approached us as they wanted to replace their existing concrete worktop in their Oast House Kitchen and Utility Room. As a returning client, we have already completed two successful projects for them.

We worked closely with the client to discover the aesthetic and practical qualities they needed for their worktops. They chose 30mm Tahiti CQ Quartz which provides a resilient, hard wearing surface and has a natural grey pattern.

Were there any difficulties?

Putting tiles on a curved wall is problematic so the stone worktop had to be perfectly cut to closely fit the wall. This requires a high level of skill and precision throughout the templating, fabricating and fitting process.

What was the solution?

We used digital laser technology to assist in the templating and cutting accuracy. Along with the worktop, the client chose a double 1810 undermounted sink, which we clad in the same quartz as the worktop, giving a seamless appearance together with a durable sink interior.

The kitchen also had 2 end panels finished with a 20/20 mitre and we made 2 chopping boards from the same worktop material.
