Travertine is an interesting material that can be used in your home for a number of applications. Our Travertine is resin filled for extra durability and strength, without compromising the features and beauty of the stone.
What is Travertine?
Travertine is often called Travertine Marble or Travertine Limestone, although it isn’t really either. It is a terrestrial sedimentary rock which is formed of carbonate materials in ground and surface waters, usually in areas like hot springs or a limestone cave. It is a type of Limestone, as is Marble, it is just at a different stage in the growth of the rock.
It often has a fibrous appearance and it naturally forms in a number of colours, from white to tan, from brown to warm rusty colours. Because of the porous nature of the stone, it often needs to be filled with a resin or cement. This is because it’s original form is a bit like honeycomb so it needs a filling agent to protect it from damage.
It is frequently used in Italy and elsewhere as a building material and it is often used for paving patios and garden paths.
How & where can Travertine be used?

We can also use it for Wetrooms but it must have extra special treatment between the floor and the stone to ensure it is waterproof.
